Darryn with LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP Moto2 squad in 2023
Darryn Binder is confirmed to join the Intact GP team as it opens a new chapter in its ten-year existence, with the aim of celebrating success at the top of motorcycle racing. With Husqvarna Motorcycles, one of the most respected European motorcycle brands, ‘LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP’ is born. The team’s name will apply to both the intermediate category and Moto3.
The new rider pairing in Moto2, consisting of Darryn Binder and Lukas Tulovic, will be part of this milestone. Darryn has already won in Moto3 and is currently doing a great job in the MotoGP class after a surprise promotion from Moto3 straight to the premier class at the end of 2021. The South African is known for his determination and fighting spirit and although he will be a debutant in Moto2, he has plenty of experience to draw on from his eight-year GP career to date.
DARRYN BINDER
“I’m really happy to be part of the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP team next year. The team has so much experience and is incredibly professional! I’m looking forward to trying out the Moto2 bike and I believe that together we can achieve good results. I hope that everything I’ve learned this year in MotoGP can help me adapt to Moto2 as quickly as possible. And then hopefully we can fight for some good positions. I’m very grateful to the whole team for giving me this great opportunity and I can’t wait to work with everyone!”
