The Sepang International Circuit is no easy task for the two Moto2 riders of the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP team. Nevertheless, both Darryn Binder and Senna Agius improved continuously in the tight field, which saw 19 riders within one second on Saturday morning.

Darryn, like his team-mate, was able to reduce the gap to the leaders session by session. In the prevailing hot conditions, the South African finished eighth in Q1, putting him 22nd on the grid in row eight.

“I’m glad that we made a step forward compared to yesterday. I had hoped to make a slightly bigger leap in Q1. But it was still a step in the right direction. The most important thing is that we have reduced the gap to the front with every session. Tomorrow I will focus on getting a good start and trying to get into the points and fight for the best possible position. It’s been a tough weekend so far, but we’re getting through it well and hopefully we can take another step forward.”
